As we enter 2026, Walt Disney World is getting ready to debut an exciting lineup of new experiences designed to host magical experiences and enchant guests like never before. With brand-new shows, lands, immersive dining lounges and more on the way, the most magical place on Earth continues to evolve, continuing to surprise and delight guests of all ages. A sprinkle of pixie dust enters the Magic Kingdom Cinderella Castle as it returns to its classic grey, cream and blue colors in 2026 after celebrating the 50th-anniversary pink/rose gold scheme with work starting in January 2026 and wrapping up later in the year.
As the adventure begins, guests will be greeted by an all-new character, Buddy, a helpful support-bot tasked to make sure you are fully prepared for the mission. This will be a great time for guests to be able to check out some new interactive target features before blasting off to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg as you save the galaxy.
Be ready for the iconic rumblin’ rollin’ Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as it is currently almost complete from its undergoing refurbishment that will keep the classic attraction in better shape and will reopen in spring 2026. In addition to the refurbishment, guests will be able to feature new magic to discover including a journey through the spectacular natural phenomena of the Rainbow Caverns. Get ready once more in spring when the bumpy, thrilling and exciting coaster returns to Magic Kingdom.

The animatronics will be going through a brief refurbishment to replace the Audio-Animatronics figures of Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. The attraction will close on January 26, 2026 (Last day to ride January 25, 2026) and will reopen with the new figures sometime in February 2026. This investment will bring a more true-to-film look for these beloved characters.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this exciting new version of Soarin’ Across America will debut in EPCOT on July 2, 2026. Buckle up and prepare for takeoff as this beloved attraction is getting a brand-new flight path with an all-new adventure across the United States. This attraction will showcase the nation’s breathtaking natural landscapes and iconic city skylines offering a fresh perspective on the beauty of the U.S from high above.
2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts (January 16 - February 23, 2026). Celebrate the fusion of visual, performing and culinary arts the event offers! Discover interactive photo opportunities, inventive food creations and iconic paint-by-numbers murals throughout the park. Lastly, be sure to check out the unforgettable, one-of-a-kind DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series.
2026 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival (March 4 - June 1, 2026). Find the magic in bloom at a festival that is full of flowers, flavor and so much fun. More information will be released during the early months of 2026.

A rockin’ change is coming to you at Sunset Boulevard as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will blast into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in summer 2026. Powered by the electrifying sounds of the Electric Mayhem and high-speed chaos only The Muppets can deliver. With a little help from the Muppet Labs and one very fast limousine, guests will embark on a widely twisting and turning race through Hollywood racing to make it to the concert just in time. As the attraction opens in summer 2026, iconic Tineseltown sights and scenery will get a satisfying Muppet-style makeover. The Electric Mayhem will be blasting some of the most legendary rock anthems keeping the adrenaline racing and energy cranking!
A brand new experience is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios that invites guests to step inside the magic of animation like never seen before. Inspired by the iconic Roy E. Disney Animation Building, the upcoming family attraction “The Magic of Disney Animation” is set to celebrate creativity, imagination and the art of storytelling. In 2026, what was once the current home of Star Wars: Launch Bay will now be transformed into a dynamic, interactive space where kids as well as kids at heart can laugh, draw and discover all-new animated adventures. Installed at the top of the building will be Mickey’s legendary Sorcerer Hat that sprinkles a little pixie dust over the fun. Inside guests will explore playful, reimagined versions of the Disney Animation headquarters and its many studio departments. You will notice some familiar friends who will bring the space to life with whimsical adventures and interactive moments. Portraits will magically come alive just like in Once Upon a Studio; sparking inspiration and aspiring artists can sit down to learn how to sketch their very own character. Disney Animation artists and Walt Disney Imagineers are collaborating closely to bring the heart, nostalgia and magic of
Disney Animation to life throughout this entire courtyard in new and immersive ways possible. The destination opens in 2026 and it’s sure to be an experience families will treasure.
A brand-new show is coming to Walt Disney World! “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in summer 2026 that will bring big smiles and soaring energy to the stage. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse invite everyone to Mickey’s house for an unforgettable party. This all-new live production is inspired by the beloved Disney Jr. hit series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and will feature catchy original songs, various interactive moments for young guests and appearances from your favorite Disney characters who are ready to sing and dance along.
Starting May 22, 2026, team up with Din Djarin, The Mandolorian, and his young companion, Grogu, on an all new and action packed mission to hunt down elusive ex-Imperial officers across the galaxy. During your pursuit aboard the Millenium Falcon, you will soar through various familiar destinations such as Tatooine, Cloud City and the haunting remains of the Death Star.

Starting in Summer 2026 at Walt Disney World Resort, families will embark on a playful journey to Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park to be able to meet Bluey and Bingo. Guests will dance, play, and join in on favorite games inspired by the Bluey episodes–each having a fun animal-themed twist, including butterfly keepy uppy. Gather your family for some memorable photos and step outside to explore animals native to Australia. Bluey’s home country, adding that extra layer of discovery to the unforgettable expedition.
Be sure to journey through the prehistoric fun at DinoLand as this is the last year to visit the area before it goes extinct. DinoLand U.S.A. will permanently close on February 2, 2026. The final day to experience DINOSAUR, The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus and Restaurantosaurus Lounge will be February 1st.

Guests can continue to dream of visiting the parks after they close for the night at Disney After Hours, which continues on selected dates through 2026 between January 12 to July 27, 2026! This special separately sold ticketed event lets guests experience three hours of fun after Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Magic Kingdom officially close for the day. With snacks like ice cream, popcorn and select bottled beverages included in the cost of the event ticket, Disney After Hours is the cherry on top to any Walt Disney World vacation.
Alongside these amazing additions at Walt Disney World Resort in 2026, guests can also experience beloved fan-favorite festivals and hard-ticketed events. From the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and everything in between, there are more than 200 days of themed, seasonal and limited-time magic to offer.

Get ready to learn some Disney history and experience this 90-minute ride to the Presidential Lilly Belle car while focusing on Walt Disney’s love for trains. The Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour is officially returning on January 16, 2026. Be sure to book your window as booking is opened 60 days in advance.
The Fantasyland Theatre is being transformed into this new immersive family-friendly celebration into the grounds of Bluey’s school where you can join the fun of Bluey’s best day ever. Throughout the day, you can be able to meet Bluey and her sister Bingo as they appear live on stage joining a troupe of comedic actors and musicians. Together, they’ll bring the beloved music and games from favorite Bluey episodes to life, bringing this playful experience about celebrating imagination to all ages together to join in the fun.
Arriving May 22, 2026, a new mission is arriving in Millenium Falcon” Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park. In time with the new Star Wars film releasing in theaters, The Mandalorian and Grogu will join the adventure and make their debut as you team up with the two and explore the galaxy.
The separately ticketed night event between January to June on selected dates will include returning favorites like Sweethearts’ Nite, Star Wars Nite, Pride Nite, Disney Channel Nite and a new 70 Years of Favorites event in celebration of the park’s anniversary. These nights will additionally include unique entertainment, characters, food and shorter ride waits with tickets on sale now.

This 31 day celebration starting January 23 to February 22, 2026 welcomes the Year of the Horse with vibrant festivities and joyous tributes to Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse return in their Korean-inspired outfits and several Disney characters will debut all-new outfits with representation of Chinese and Vietnamese attire. Additionally, guests will be able to meet a character from the Pixar Animation Studios film, Turning Red.
Be sure to look out for celebrating California’s incredible handouts of exciting and delicious cuisines, entertainment and more scheduled to return March 6 through April 27, 2026.
Oogie Boogie returns as he calls his Halloween lovers to experience some mischievous fun! The after hours holiday event is scheduled to make a return on selected nights between August through October 2026.

Construction will additionally begin for future expansion of Disneyland Resort also to include the first-ever attraction themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco, and the future Avatar destination. Entering into 2026, Disneyland Paris is underway to unveil an entire reimagination and a new magical experience that will fascinate guests like never before!
Opening March 29, 2026, World of Frozen will be one of the many lands opening in what was formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park, now renamed to Disney Adventure World! An extraordinary new land that will bring the kingdom of Arendelle to life like never before!
This will include the loving and enchanting journey on Frozen Ever After as you sail on a boat ride alongside Anna, Elsa and their friends. In addition to the land, a Brand-New show “A Celebration in Arendelle” bringing the Snowflower Festival to life. Guests will be able to sing along to iconic songs with newly composed music as well. Lastly, Olaf will break the ice as Walt Disney Imagineering has designed an Olaf to come to life and make appearances in the Arendelle Bay show in World of Frozen. This advancement in robotics enables guests to meet these iconic characters coming to life with an unmatched level of believability and winning the hearts of millions of viewers around the world.
The adventure continues along Adventure Way, a lively promenade designed for exploration and relaxation, featuring lush gardens, an array of live entertainment and 14 all-new dining experiences for guests. These beautifully themed gardens draw inspiration from cherished Disney and Pixar stories.
Seasonal entertainment will also keep Adventure Way buzzing year-round with offerings like Rapunezel and Flynn’s Musical Encounter in the spring, Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band in the Summer and Miguel’s Latin Festival in the fall with a variety of character meet-and-greets. Additionally, the Disney Marching Band led by Minnie Mouse and her 12 musicians will make its way down Adventure Way performing spirited renditions of Disney, Pixar and Marvel.
Adventure Way will also introduce a brand-new family attraction, Raiponce Tangled Spin, inspired by the beloved Disney Animation film Tangled. Guests will twirl through the attraction in a gondola beneath a glowing sky filled with floating lanterns.
Just beyond Raiponce Tangled Spin, guests will discover the elegant Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. This table-service venue will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a beautifully detailed setting, featuring embroidered drapes, floral tapestries and breathtaking murals of Disney Princesses. Guests will be able to relax with signature cocktails and savor indulgent bites inspired by the personalities of Disney Princesses. Both the restaurant and lounge will offer spectacular views of Adventure Bay and World of Frozen making it an ideal location to unwind. It is the perfect place to enjoy the park’s new nighttime spectacular.
As the night dawns and the park closes, Adventure Bay will transform into a setting for a spectacular new nighttime show, “Disney Cascade of Lights”. This immersive 360-degree experience will serve as the grand finale each evening which will feature a stunning combination of hundreds of drones, choreographed fountains, water screen and pyrotechnics–all set to a powerful orchestral score. Stories from the Marvel Universe and much inspiration from Disney Animations favorites such as Mulan, Hercules, Moana, Zootopia and Pixar’s Up will deliver a stunning tribute to courage, creativity and imagination. This combining cutting-edge technology with seamless storytelling will bring this extraordinary nighttime experience for guests to life!
And the adventure continues! Construction is already underway on the first-ever themed land inspired by Disney Animation’s The Lion King. Located along Adventure Bay, this exciting new area will debut as a major attraction that blends water-based thrills with cutting-edge Audio Animatronics and the unforgettable music from the 1994 classic. Guests will be fully immersed in the heart of the Pride Lands as they follow Simba’s journey!
