Hidden Gems of EPCOT’s 2024 International Festival of the Arts

2024 is off to a colorful start with the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, highlighting new culinary and entertainment experiences featuring beloved characters and excitement for guests of all ages. Lasting from January 12 to February 19, the festival will include artist galleries and booths, along with brand new activities. This article showcases the festival’s hidden gems to help you explore a whole new world of art at EPCOT.

Artistic Activities

Figment’s Brush with the Masters is an all-new scavenger hunt allowing guests to search for their favorite imaginative dragon in famous works of art. Travel around the World Showcase Pavilion and find all 11 hidden Figment frames to win a prize - painting your own Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse or Figment figurine! 

Maps and stickers can be purchased at Creations Shop, Port of Entry and World Traveler shop for $9.99. Once the scavenger hunt is completed, turn in your map at World Traveler or Disney traders to receive your prize.

Figment is not the only character hiding around the World Showcase. Keep an eye out for stunning chalk drawings across the pavilions from over a dozen films, including new murals from The Aristocats, Pocahontas and The Great Mouse Detective, along with returning favorites such as Coco’s Dante, Peter Pan, and Bruni from Frozen II

Step into the frame and show off your art skills! Join Walt Disney animators at the America Gardens Theater every day from 12:30 to 1:30 pm and learn to draw your favorite Disney characters.

Your Flavor Pallet

EPCOT is chalk full of colorful culinary options, including new ways to tour international cuisine. 

Grab your festival passports and embark on The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. Try 5 of the 7  featured dishes, including savory chorizo and potato empanadas and rich key lime pie, across festival food stalls to get your own Artist Pallet Cookie at the Deco Delights Food Studio. 

The festival features 16 unique food studios to sample dishes inspired by cultural staples and artwork. Be sure to visit kiosks such as Vibrante & Vívido inspired by Disney’s Encanto, The Painted Panda, L'Art de la Cuisine Française and more for innovative dishes, desserts and cocktails.  Food studios are open everyday at 11 am until the park closes during the festival. 

Surprises are waiting all over EPCOT, including limited time items at year round locations, such as pineapple cherry dole whip at the Refreshment Outpost or specialty drinks at Joffery’s Coffee & Tea Company stalls across the park.

Show Stopping Performances

Broadway comes to the America Gardens Pavilion during the International Festival of the Arts. Performers from hit musicals including The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast bring their dazzling talents to live shows every day at 5:30 pm, 6:45 pm, and 8 pm. Listen to Disney classics and favorite musical songs in this one of a kind concert series. 

On your way to explore artist stalls and food kiosks, stop by the World Showcase Plaza to watch dazzling acrobatic shows, as well as hear world class musicians performing on saxophone, guitar, harp, and didgeridoo. Visit the My Disney Experience app to find showtimes and performance updates.

Showcase of Imagination

EPCOT’s 2024 International Festival of the Arts is the perfect excuse to grab your Mouse ears and a sketchbook to join in on the celebration. Take advantage of fun photo backdrops, limited time festival merchandise and even watch artists create works of art before your eyes at this year’s International Festival of the Arts. 

Tour exhibits at the Odyssey Events Pavilion honoring legendary Disney artists Herb Ryman and Mary Blair, whose works inspired classic Disney animation and theme park design. Keep an eye out for color by numbers murals, pop up art displays, and eye-catching chalk portraits and landscapes as you walk through the park.
